No one knows exactly how many freelancers exist in the world, but there are at least tens of millions and the number is rising rapidly. Many, perhaps most, freelancers work online. Freelancing is the wave of the future, and that’s a good thing because working for yourself offers freedom and flexibility that you can’t find with traditional employment.

The mission of World of Freelancers is to help current and future freelancers succeed at and enjoy your work while maintaining a healthy work/life balance so that you can live the life you want and deserve.

After freelancing as a court reporter, which allowed me to do much of my work at home, I wanted even more freedom plus I wanted to experience more of the world. I started a travel blog and began earning income from that as well as by writing articles for print and online travel publications, editing, scoping and doing a bit of proofreading. During that time I traveled for a while primarily around the Middle East and Asia and then settled down for long periods in the UAE, Israel and Egypt.

Now I still freelance as a blogger and writer, both at home in the U.S. as well as my home away from home in the Middle East. (If you’re interested in me writing for you, you can
