You may be interested in learning how to work and travel as well but feel like you can’t make it happen because you think you don’t have any skills that you can take on the road.
Actually, there are so many ways to make money while traveling that you almost certainly can find at least one way to earn a living while seeing the world. Chances are, you already have at least one skill that you can use to do this.
For 10 years on and off I’ve earned money doing several different types of freelance jobs while traveling. Now I’ve compiled this list of 26 ways to make money while traveling, from A to Z, in order to show you the wide range of ways that you can earn income from anywhere in the world. These jobs run the spectrum from needing an advanced degree to not requiring any formal education at all.
Most, but not all, of these types of jobs are freelance jobs. Most do not involve traveling as part of the job. Rather, they are online jobs (also called remote jobs or virtual jobs) that you can perform from anywhere in the world.
For each of these 26 types of jobs I’ve included either information about online courses or resources so you can learn how to do the job, or information about current job openings. So here are 26 ways you can make money while traveling.

Administrative Assistant – An administrative assistant is someone who supports an executive, group, department, or organization by performing administrative tasks like data entry, correspondence, filing, and scheduling appointments. Many administrative assistants work online. You should learn how to be an administrative assistant before looking for a job in this field. Blogger – Earning money blogging is a big thing, but how do you do it? Super-successful blogger and writer Carol Tice, of Make a Living Writing fame, along with freelance blogging coach Sophie Lizard, will teach you how to win lucrative blogging gigs in their popular blogging course Make Money Blogging for Clients. Customer Service Representative – Customer service representatives typically answer product and service questions, suggest information about products and services, process orders, prepare correspondences and fulfill customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Real Estate Virtual Assistant – Real estate virtual assistant is a new online VA niche for people with an interest in real estate who don’t want to become full-fledged real estate agents. Scopist – Scopists create final transcripts of legal and non-legal proceedings which are typed onto a steno machine by a court reporter. Virtual Assistant – A virtual assistant (VA) is a freelancer who handles certain aspects of online work for a business such as social media, content creation, editing, email management and customer service. Writer – So many people love to write. Fortunately, there are many ways that you can earn money as a freelance writer.
