Networking is so important to business success. In-person networking is definitely the most effective way to make business connections, but most freelancers work alone. So how can freelancers network with brands as well as other freelancers face to face?
Attending conferences is probably the best way for freelancers to network in person. And probably the best conference to attend in order to meet, get to know, learn from and collaborate with other freelancers is #FREECON, the Freelance Conference.
#FREECON – THE FREELANCE CONFERENCE
#FREECON is an annual event that promises to help freelance business owners simplify your operations, multiply your client pool and amplify your income. The 2019 Freelance Conference (#FREECON19) is taking place in Austin, Texas from October 27 through October 29. Only 250 tickets are available, and they’re on sale now.
This conference was created in 2014 by Emily Leach, an advocate for freelance business owners and the founder of the popular Facebook group Austin Freelance Gigs. “Moving the needle in your business is our top priority, along with celebrating all your success,” Emily says.
“With freelancing becoming a more accepted business model, we strive to find and solve the roadblocks that are holding freelance business owners back from success,” Emily says. “We are reaching out to not only legitimize the industry of freelancing but bring us together as a community to learn from each other to benefit everyone that participates.”
#FREECON19 will have interactive panel discussions, tech demos, hands-on workshops, several expert speakers and, of course, non-stop opportunities to network with other freelancers. On the evening of October 28th, three freelancers will receive Freelancers Choice Awards.
The 2019 Freelance Conference will feature six speakers, including two keynote speakers.
